The Dr's Casebook: the Muslim Threat - 2007/08/16 04:06 This is in reply to the article posted on the homepage.

The lack of concern among Christians for those going to hell has led me to consider and even believe in the universal reconciliation of all people. We really don't believe what we teach about hell. If we did, as I heard one atheist put it, we would be crawling on our hands and knees across broken glass to keep one soul out. In light of God's unconditional love for His creation,(if we are right about it) we must be missing something. I can't see a person being punished for not knowing something when I knew it and didn't tell him and will not be punished at all. Who's the guilty party. The question is and must be what are we missing. What do we have wrong about this whole Jesus thing? Was His cross experience great enough for mankind or just a select few? Was it big enough to accomplish what He came to accomplish? Is God big enough? Our greatest quest must be Jesus and not some religious experience that makes us feel secure while the rest of the world is going to hell. Maybe, just maybe, if I look deep enough into my Muslim brother's heart Jesus will be there daring us to let Him out. Nah! Lets blow 'em off the planet. Want too?

Re:The Dr's Casebook: the Muslim Threat - 2007/10/25 07:27 Please excuse poor grammar and spelling as education was never a strong point for me sorry. I think Gal chapter 4:21-30 gives us a little insight to the nature of Legalism and grace mapped out as two covenants. It interests me that when it comes to our muslim communities that so many Christians are really paranoid and inflammatory about the "Islamic threat" to the world. I start to think of questions like does Jesus love me more than anyone else. Is salvation only for sinners such as myself. Is grace only for non Muslim peoples of the world of course not? Based on the above scripture I think God wants us living and ministering from the New Covenant.

As Christians I think we receive God's grace and love and salvation freely and openly. But the challenge for us in life is maybe letting some of God's love and grace flow though us to others even People of the Islamic faith. Are we as Christians conditionally ministering something we received unconditionally?

Could it be that Jesus receives whoever asks Him to be their Lord? What do the attitudes we exhibit say about us to those watching ,listening? I think Dr Rowe has written a thought provoking note here and one that should be discussed more.
