In the last few installments we have been looking at what Christ's blood achieved (click here to read part 8). The price was now paid and we now belonged to God. His blood cleansed us, so that we can be filled with His life. Christ could now replace our dead sin-corrupted nature with the life giving righteous nature of God. His life, the only antidote for our death.

"And I got it, thank God! In the Messiah, in Christ, God leads us from place to place in one perpetual victory parade.." (2 Corinthians 2:14 MSG) "Every God-begotten person conquers the world's ways. The conquering power that brings the world to its knees is our faith. The person who wins out over the world's ways is simply the one who believes Jesus is the Son of God." (1 John 5:4-5 MSG)

In part 7(click here to read it), we looked at what our response should be to what Christ's blood achieved. Christ's blood sealed (ratified and brought into effect) the new covenant (agreement) that God was making with mankind. Under this new agreement He was going to live in His people and do away with their sins forever, leading and guiding them from within.

"..He gave some to be apostles, and some to be prophets, and some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ. And this until we all come into the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a full-grown man, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ..that you, speaking the truth in love, may in all things grow up to Him who is the Head, even Christ;" (Ephesians 4:11-15 MKJV)
