God revealed to Jacob that He had a destiny for Joseph that would see him in a position of authority[Genesis 37:5-11]. Jacob was presented with contrary circumstantial evidence and he chose to believe the worst. This became his truth and formed the basis of his reality. He mourned the (living)dead[Genesis 37:25-35]. he experienced years of needless misery based on a lie[Genesis 37:36; 46:29-30]. This is an inspiring thought from a very dear friend of my wife and I.
As we grow up, we learn that even the one person that wasn't supposed to ever let you down probably will. You will have your heart broken probably more than once and it's harder every time. You'll break hearts too, so remember how it felt when yours was broken. You'll fight with your best friend. You'll blame a new love for things an old one did. You'll cry because time is passing too fast, and you'll eventually lose someone you love.
So take too many pictures, laugh too much, and love like you've never been hurt because every sixty seconds you spend upset is a minute of happiness you'll never get back.

Taking his daily walk along the sandy white beach, a man catches sight of a young boy feverishly occupied. From afar it appears as though the boy is caught up in a balletic dance; he stoops, he rises, and then he arches his back and then in one almost violent movement propels his right arm toward the sea
pauses and then repeats the manoeuvre. As the man approaches he sees that the area where the boy is standing is literally carpeted with starfish. Moreover, he sees that the boy was not dancing at all but was carefully one by one throwing the starfish back into the sea. The man stopped and observed this relentless ritual for some time. As he cast his eye along the beach he saw that there were starfish as far as the eye could see. He called to the boy:
There are stranded starfish all the way along the coastline
What possible difference can you make by throwing a few of them back in the sea?
Without looking up the boy stooped again, lovingly picked up another star fish and threw it back into the sea.
I guess you
re right
but you know
I made a difference to that one.
