I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness is through law, then Christ died without cause. (Galatians 2:21 MKJV)

There is a dividing line in covenants

The new replacing the old

The old deal wasn't good enough

The new is out of this world

We view the new from the spirit of the old

We carry on regardless, as if it never changed

================&&&&&====================

There is a new commandment given

To Love in the power of His love

To relinquish the burden of the law we cannot keep

And enter the reality of one He keeps through us

We clamour, "give us the old, that we may prove how good we are getting"

We carry on regardless, as if we never heard

================&&&&&====================

There is a trail of blood from the cross to the grave

One sacrifice, once and for all

Declaring it is fully paid, nothing more is owed

On our knees all day long we beg, "O father please forgive"

We are sure our sins are too great, we must complement the price

We carry on regardless, as if He never bled

================&&&&&====================

There is a new creation by the hand of God

The old has been crucified, the new man is Christ

Full of all the power, God ever had

With prayer and fasting we plead

"The needs are too great, give us more power"

We carry on regardless, as if He wasn't there

================&&&&&====================

He came to give Eternal life

Salvation without end

None can take us out of His hand, so the scripture says

We live in fear of loosing, what we did not earn

Convinced our efforts would secure, that which was never insecure

We carry on regardless, as if Eternal had an end

================&&&&&====================

In departing He said, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you"

How could He, He came to live in us

Our only hope of living

Our prayers ask Him to come to where He never left

We sing of our desperation for His presence

We carry on regardless, as if He had lied

================&&&&&====================

We date our history around His life

He affected more lives than we can ever count

He came, He died, He rose and lives

His mission He fulfilled, declaring, "It is finished"

We are called by His name

We carry on regardless, as if he never came

================&&&&&====================

All of creation had been waiting

All of the old proclaiming the new

A shadow of the Real life, to be given in Christ

Now to enter the rest of His finished work

Fulfill His pleasure, by enjoying His abundant provision

Carry on regardless, as if we never fell

================&&&&&====================
