Here comes the revolution
A plan like never heard of before
That God almighty would live in a human vessel
To express His life through us
================&&&&&====================
It was a welcome change to the old order
Trying to live God's life from without
Faced with a law I could not keep
Speaking to a dead sin nature inside
================&&&&&====================
Hail the revolution; I gladly welcome it
To be redeemed from my prison of hopelessness
There the law had cornered me in
Tired of living in the shadows, I welcomed the light
As the Son shone through me
================&&&&&====================
All is well, as I reveled in joy
At this new life, that found me
"Enjoy the Honeymoon", they said
"It won't last forever, Soon you'll have to grow up"
Sure enough, it seemed they were right
As my actions couldn't keep up, with my inner reality
================&&&&&====================
"His yoke is easy and burden light"
I'm sure that
s what the Word says
But my shoulders just ached all the more
It was clear to me; my only choice is to try harder
Only, the more I tried, the harder it got
================&&&&&====================
"Something's not right"
I thought to myself
How could these things be?
I ran from the shadows to escape all this
It feels like deja vu
================&&&&&====================
From the most unlikely place, came the answer
180 degrees + 180 degrees = 360 degrees
After a double revolution, I was back where I began
Fallen from grace and back in the shadows again
================&&&&&====================
Usher in the revolution
This time, here to stay
By grace I was saved, by grace I stand, never to depart again
When my action struggle to catch up
I put up the following sign, "work in progress, master at work"
For all who care to see
================&&&&&====================
I
ve found my rest in His finished work
By faith I stand therein
I
ve taken part in the final revolution
Held by God Himself
