"These words I speak to you, ..are foundation words, words to build a life on. "If you work the words into your life, you are like a smart carpenter who dug deep and laid the foundation of his house on bedrock. When the river burst its banks and crashed against the house, nothing could shake it; it was built to last. But if you just use my words in Bible studies and don't work them into your life, you are like a dumb carpenter who built a house but skipped the foundation. When the swollen river came crashing in, it collapsed like a house of cards. It was a total loss." (Luke 6:47-49 MSG)

"..Christ will live in you as you open the door and invite him in. And I ask him that with both feet planted firmly on love, you'll be able to take in with all Christians the extravagant dimensions of Christ's love. Reach out and experience the breadth! Test its length! Plumb the depths! Rise to the heights! Live full lives, full in the fullness of God."(Ephesians 3:17-19 MSG)

Got the plans from the designer

It set out elaborate recommendations

About how to build a house to last

There were references to a strong foundation

Before the walls go up

Seems like it'll cost a bomb and take so long

Quite a bit of bother

All for a part of the house

Nobody will ever see

================&&&&&====================

That all said and done

The fact remains; the house is mine

I can build it exactly how I want

My aim is to impress, the Joneses next door

With a house, that will make heads turn

My priority is set, for what to spend

It's outside, inside and then beneath

The sooner the better, for the walls to go up

Take as little time, on the parts that can't be seen

================&&&&&====================

It wasn't easy

But we got there in the end

My stunning house was now complete

I lost count of those, who stopped to comment

On just how beautiful a house, it looked

So it should be, as no cost was spared

For it was to reflect, the glory of my wealth and taste

It had been standing some time, no sign of it falling

I knew the designer had just been over cautious

There really was nothing, to be worried about

================&&&&&====================

All was well, like the calm before the storm

That s when all hell let loose

An almighty storm, like never seen before

Seemed to rise out of nowhere

I felt reasonably confident

Apart from the faint echoes of my designer s advice

Well, the rest is history

I took shelter in the Joneses house

================&&&&&====================

We've cleared the rubble

Remnants of an expensive lesson

I 'm ready to build again

To never ignore the designers advice

Insure against the storms of life

Drive those foundations deep

No cost and time spared

So I can provide the shelter

For other unwise neighbours

When the storms, hit again

================&&&&&====================
