Shine the light => The tendency to go back to self effort is innate, a remnant of the past. Unfortunately, such focus on self-works is institutionalised in many parts of the body of Christ and they invariably become agents by which the devil spreads his lies. The only defense is Truth. We need to renew our mind from religious traditions of men and get established in the love and grace of God. The best answer to the lies of darkness is to shed the light of Truth.
1. "Therefore let us labor to enter into that rest, lest anyone fall after the same example of unbelief." (Hebrews 4:11 MKJV)
2. "Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron; Forbidding to marry, and commanding to abstain from meats, which God hath created to be received with thanksgiving of them which believe and know the truth." (1 Timothy 4:1-3 KJV)
3. "..he ..said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God by your tradition?..ye made the commandment of God of none effect by your tradition. Ye hypocrites, well did Esaias prophesy of you, saying, This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me.
