In part 11 (click here to read it), we looked at how worry tempts us to take matters into our own hands and since we were not created to do so, we miss out on God' best. Here we look at how to walk in His peace and not worry.

God's peace does not come on you and overpower you, you have to choose to refuse to worry and let the peace of God reign in your heart. This you do by keeping your mind stayed on Him

1. "Let not your heart be troubled. You believe in God, believe also in Me." (John 14:1 MKJV)

2. "And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you also are called in one body, and be thankful. Let the Word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And everything, whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by Him." (Colossians 3:15-17 MKJV

3. "You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You; because he trusts in You. Trust in Jehovah forever; for in the LORD JEHOVAH is everlasting strength." (Isaiah 26:3-4 MKJV)

4. "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (John 14:27 MKJV)

5. "Don't fret or worry. Instead of worrying, pray. Let petitions and praises shape your worries into prayers, letting God know your concerns. Before you know it, a sense of God's wholeness, everything coming together for good, will come and settle you down. It's wonderful what happens when Christ displaces worry at the center of your life. Summing it all up, friends, I'd say you'll do best by filling your minds and meditating on things true, noble, reputable, authentic, compelling, gracious--the best, not the worst; the beautiful, not the ugly; things to praise, not things to curse." (Philippians 4:6-8 MSG)

6. "The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way--never have and never will."

Expect God’s directions on how to proceed

1. "Trust GOD from the bottom of your heart; don't try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for GOD's voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he's the one who will keep you on track. Don't assume that you know it all. Run to GOD! Run from evil! Your body will glow with health, your very bones will vibrate with life!"

2. "Instead, be concerned above everything else with the Kingdom of God and with what he requires of you, and he will provide you with all these other things." (Matthew 6:33 GNB)

Many are my needs

I look for those who can meet them

I need, I need, so please give, give

If you don't, I'll pout & strop

Till you do

Emotional blackmail

That my territory

I'll make you feel guilty

Till I get my way

As I manipulate to accumulate

I want, what I want

And I usually want it now

Don't disappoint me

I don't handle that well

If it will help my cause

How else, am to get what I want

If I don't use people?

Isn't that what they are here for?

Dog eat dog, you use me, I use you

It's a jungle out here

In the land of the needy

Jesus showed me the way out
