"Your Majesty, God Most High has sent you this message, and it means that you will be forced to live with the wild animals, far away from humans. You will eat grass like a wild animal and live outdoors for seven years, until you learn that God Most High controls all earthly kingdoms and chooses their rulers. But he gave orders not to disturb the stump and roots. This is to show that you will be king once again, after you learn that the God who rules from heaven is in control. Your Majesty, please be willing to do what I say. Turn from your sins and start living right; have mercy on those who are mistreated. Then all will go well with you for a long time. About twelve months later, I was walking on the flat roof of my royal palace and admiring the beautiful city of Babylon, when these things started happening to me. I was saying to myself, "Just look at this wonderful capital city that I have built by my own power and for my own glory!" (SEE 4:28) (SEE 4:28) But before I could finish speaking, a voice from heaven interrupted: King Nebuchadnezzar, this kingdom is no longer yours. You will be forced to live with the wild animals, away from people. For seven years you will eat grass, as though you were an ox, until you learn that God Most High is in control of all earthly kingdoms and that he is the one who chooses their rulers. This was no sooner said than done--I was forced to live like a wild animal; I ate grass and was unprotected from the dew. As time went by, my hair grew longer than eagle feathers, and my fingernails looked like the claws of a bird. Finally, I prayed to God in heaven, and my mind was healed. Then I said: "I praise and honor God Most High. He lives forever, and his kingdom will never end. To him the nations are far less than nothing; God controls the stars in the sky and everyone on this earth. When God does something, we cannot change it or even ask why." At that time my mind was healed, and once again I became the ruler of my glorious kingdom. My advisors and officials returned to me, and I had greater power than ever before. That's why I say: "Praise and honor the King who rules from heaven! Everything he does is honest and fair, and he can shatter the power of those who are proud." (Daniel 4:24-37 CEV)

Oh what a glorious kingdom
Stretching as far as the eye can see
See such a majestic king
Reigning over its realm
His power none living could rival
At his word men lived or died
Enough power to make anyone forget
The one who placed them there
================&&&&&====================
Funny old thing, pride
Blurs the reason why
Not answerably to any
Surely he's a self-made king
When "I" takes centre stage
All else pales into the shadows
Who cares about the needs of others?
When self is indulged
All the makings of a king
Beastly to his people
================&&&&&====================
Soon all sense is gone
Arrogance takes hold
Abuse is rife on those
Waiting to be served
Self has placed all the orders
While others sit it out
Enter the King of all kings
To burst this king's bubble
================&&&&&====================
From king to beast
Not as difficult as you think
A loss of mind
Is all it took
You, being no greater than how you think
Think like a beast; behave like one
No longer fit, to rule as king
A king by identity, a beast in reality
The mind of the beast
Took over the king
The kingdom lost its head
================&&&&&====================
7 seasons of life it took
Finally the point gets through
All that men do
Is all through His grace
His kingly mind regained
His kingly reign restored
Given up on that lie
Of the self-made king
It takes the king of Kings
To rule and reign
By His grace we rise
By His grace we stand
And by His grace
We reign in life
================&&&&&====================
Enter now that humble king
Accountable to the most high King
Whose reign will never cease
Oh how the people rejoice
When the humble is in power
More majesty and power
Nesting safely in his hands
His heart in its rightful place
The beast turned King again
