Knowledge makes us feel important PDF Print E-mail

There are a lot of know-it-alls in this world, and Christians are just as likely to fall into this category as anyone else; maybe even more! When we read Paul's letter to the church in Corinth we get the impression that it had more that its fair share.

So, what did the Apostle have to say about it? '...while knowledge makes us feel important, it is love that strengthens the church. 'The man who thinks he knows something does not yet know as he ought to know. But the man who loves God is known by God' (1 Corinthians 8:1-3 NIV).

That's wisdom! One of the important lessons we can draw out of this is that growing up spiritually is not about knowing more stuff but showing more love.
