Grace Central

City Temple Holborn

Enrolling Now for Autumn 2007

~ Limited Places ~

Autumn Term – £199.00 (introductory offer)

Christian education, or rather, educating Christians has always been the very heartbeat of The Grace Project.  Since our launch in 2000 with our Full- and Part-Time Programmes, we have been able to train literally hundreds of people in the principles of the New Covenant.  Consequently, it is with a sense of genuine and justified excitement that we announce the launch of our latest initiative – Grace Central.

The play on words in the name of the school is significant both in terms of articulating the school’s ethos and hinting at its geographical location.  As a result of a rigorously and prayerful review of The Grace Project’s modus operandi, it had become clear to us that we needed to clearly delineate between our Pastoral mandate as a church and our Teaching mission.  Thus, we have reorganised The Grace Project in a new matrix which we believe will facilitate its long term growth and the personal development of the entire community.

At the heart of the new work is Grace Central which will be both the teaching portal and the hub of The Grace Project.  The ethos of the training ministry is to teach students how to think rather than what to think whilst at the same time, equipping them for a life of effective service.

Grace Central will meet in the heart of the City of London at The City Temple on Tuesday evenings between 7:00 pm and 9:00 pm Students will be able to participate in freestanding three week modules. (see curriculum below). Grace Central is for those who desire to go deeper into the mystery of the New Covenant and who wish to be able to communicate the message of God’s unconditional love and acceptance in a more intelligent way in the world where they live and with the people whom they love.

Our vision is for a phased expansion of our syllabus which will eventually have links with our Grace Loves overseas mission programme. This will afford students, who so desire, the opportunity to apply their newly developed skills and faith, at a more practical level, in places such as Brazil or Africa.

Grace Central is key to The Grace Project fulfilling its overall vision, that is, of changing the way the world perceives Christianity by changing the way Christians perceive God.  Grace Central will be a place where you can grow and push the boundaries of your faith and stretch the wineskin (italicised) of your understanding.

The Grace Project is moving into a team-ministry model of Church-Planting. We have two churches in London (Grace West and Grace East) and we are keen to plant more; each church with its own expression and unique flavour.  To do that, we need workers – men and women who have been trained and have a passion to see what Ian Bradley called “colonies of heaven” or, as some refer to them as “villages of God” spring up all over the earth.  In our language, we call them Grace Spaces – places where once again the Church of Jesus Christ is considered to be the safest place on Earth.  Safe churches are facilitated by safe people – safe sons or “fathers in the Lord”, as I call them. So wherever you find yourself in the rhythm of grace; be it at child or teen or even father level why not considering investing an evening a week this autumn into your spiritual development and continue to grow in grace and the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Meet the faculty

Paul Anderson-Walsh

PG Dip. (Applied Theology)

Paul was formerly the Director of Studies at what at the time was Europe’s largest Pentecostal Bible School.  He has a long standing interest in coaching and mentoring.  However, it is in the last ten years that he has consciously begun to commoditise his vocational interest in seeing people discover their full potential by overcoming their life-shaped obstacles.  During that period, he has been privileged to have worked with a wide variety of companies, from the iconic Walt Disney Corporation to Sir Robert McAlpine, Franklin Andrews & Cundalls and Rabobank’s vendor leasing company, De Lage Landen.

Paul has authored three books on the subject of spiritual growth: “The Bonsai Conspiracy” and the Until Christ Is Formed” trilogy – “Part One: Safe & Sound” and “Part Two: The Apprentice” (part three will follow soon).  In his capacity as director of The Grace Project, Paul is in demand as a public speaker at numerous conferences around the world.  Through his engagements and the dynamic growth of The Grace Project’s website, Paul is rapidly becoming one of the most popular communicators.

Dr Peter Rowe

Ph.D., D.R.Phil., M.Th., B.Min.

Dr Peter Rowe is a published author and has been in full-time ministry for twenty-seven years.  He has pioneered several churches and ministry colleges including those for two of London’s largest churches and has also taught, for nine years, core subjects at Kensington Temple’s International Bible Institute of London.  More recently, Peter spent four years in Australia establishing Southern Pacific College of Ministry before returning to London in 2007 to work alongside Paul Anderson-Walsh in the ongoing development of The Grace Project.  With his wife Maxine, Peter worships at Grace East (which is a part of The Grace Project) in London’s Docklands.
