Here is just another (simple) thought – also on John 15:5. So let's get a hold of this vesre and start being who we really are.
John 15:5:
I am the vine; you are the branches.
When Jesus says: “I am the vine” that actually means THE WHOLE TREE – including the branches. And when He then says: “you are the branches” – that must mean He is in us. Everything in us is Him, and each one of us (each branch) is a part of Him. If we grasp this, then the rest of the verse might be easier to accept:
“If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”
We bear fruit because we are a part of the tree, and because the life of the tree is the live of the branch.
