What do you do in Church? PDF Print E-mail

I am presently in a Lutheran Church that is really an "Old Covenent" church. Our Pastor is REVERAND DOCTOR xxxxxx, heavy on the REVERAND DOCTOR. What I am learning in "church" is dry and killing me. How do you handle the teachings that are not what the Bible teaches? How do you justify tithing money to something that is not of God, when there is so much need out there?

to be blunt, i would challenge the leadership, and if to no avail, I would leave. Simple as.  
 
I dont go in for Rev Dr so and so either ... they are still the same as us, still human people, still eating the same food as us, and using the bathroom the same way as we do.  
 
Sometimes I will address my Pastor as \"Pastor\", but very rarely, and generally just call him by his first name, as does everyone else, and that is the way he expects it.  
 
Maybe it makes the Rev Dr sound big and important to have his name used that way, but who is the big and important thing here? or what is?  
 
should it perhaps be jesus somewhere, and maybe grace, and love, and mercy, and compassion.
